    • Examine a neonate using external characteristics and neuromuscular signs to evaluate post-natal maturity.

    • Perform a comprehensive physical examination of the newborn using a systematic approach that takes into account synthesis of perinatal and neonatal risk factors.

    • Describe a head-to-toe physical assessment/systems review of a newborn, recognizing deviations from normal.
