January 28-30, 2019

This core seminar prepares you for either the Maternal-Newborn Nursing or Low Risk Newborn Nursing NCC exams.  This seminar is team taught by Cindy Parke, RNC, CNM, MSN and Tracy Karp, RNC, MS, NNP.  Both instructors use a physiology based approach to their indepth review of maternal, fetal, and newborn adaptation to pregnancy, birth, and the immediate pospartum and newborn period.  Improve assessment skills, update your practice with evidence based treatment protocols, review resources.  As a review course, test preparation will also be discussed!

Option to sit NCC Maternal Newborn or Low Risk Newborn exams on the fourth morning. You must register separately and at least 21 days prior to exam date.

To register with NCC:
1.
Complete registration for this MNB Review class and check that you will be taking the exam (Note there is a $25 test administration fee due PEC, non-refundable).  You will receive the PEC class code on check out.  The class code is the Item Number found on your receipt, and begins withthe numbers 19.
2.  Click on the NCC Exam Registration tab on the Home Page of this PEC website.  Follow instructions.

* You must attend at least one day on the MNB class to sit the NCC exam at a PEC site.

**If you are choosing the convenience of taking the exam in paper-pencil format on site, after the class, exam registration with NCC is $275 and there is  a $25 test administration fee due PEC (non-refundable); (in addition to the NCC exam fee; net savings to you, $25).

A reminder, our Seminars are “review” courses, and as such they are fast paced expecting to review rather than teach new concepts.  We strongly suggest prior preparation.  We suggest that you download the “Candidates Guide” from the NCC website and review the exam content areas, doing a self assessment of your strengths and weaknesses to assist with your own focus in the seminar.  You may email PEC if you want further directives:  cindyparke@proedcenter.com.

The allotted seminar time does not allow for in depth review of all content areas, nor is PEC or its speakers aware of which areas are stressed in testing.
